No wonder this is one of the most popular baby items with parents. I totally endorse this product. It’s the perfect place to put down your new baby. When Matthew was small, he spit up a lot because during feeding, he sucks in a lot of air. After burping, we would keep him in a tilted position for at least another half an hour. Boppy Pillow became our best friend. We can easily move it from place to place. Matthew loved sleeping in it. He actually didn’t like it much when we held him.

Plus:

+ Functional – Not only it’s great to put a baby it for napping, you can use it during feeding as well. The shape is perfect for fitting around your waist and supporting your elbow. I don’t breast feed directly but I know many moms use it during feeding and just love this product.
+ Light Weight – It’s light weight so you can hold your baby in one hand and use the other to grab the pillow. It’s still pretty strong so it can support a baby’s weight.
+ Secure – The half circle shape securely wraps around a baby like two arms. I fill the whole with blanket if it’s two shallow to provide more cushioning.

Let me explain the low rating but first I must say that I totally endorse this product. Matthew was able to sit in it well supported and it was truly exciting to see him do that. We put him on the dinner table so he can watch us eat. It was easy to move it around the apartment. OK, now back to the low rating which was given because of short lifespan on this product. Matthew is a very active baby. He sat in the Bumbo only briefly until he got the urge to jump out. It created a scare for us and we ended up having to watch him closely. In the end, he probably sat in it for a day or two until we saw that the high chair worked much better for him. I think perhaps for babies who can sit still, this is a great product. I would totally add the tray, too. Unfortuantley it provided so little usage for us that it turned out to be a waste of money.

Plus:

+ Perfect Fit – I was amazed how well it fitted a baby’s body. To be able to see a baby sitting is just amazing.
+ Strong Material – The material used for Bumbo chair is actually soft but strong at the same time. It felt comfortable touching it and it’s very easy to clean.
+ Mobility – We were able to take the Bumbo chair and place it practically anywhere in our apartment. It was nice to be able to have dinner while Matthew sat in his Bumbo chair and watched us eat.

Minus:

- Short Lifespan – Even if Matthew enjoyed his Bumbo chair and would sit still in it, I think he would have out-grown it very quickly. Overall, high chair worked better for us.

Again, since Matthew is bottle-fed, I usually prepare his feeding ahead of time so he doesn’t cry on top of his lungs. Is he one impatient boy! Since we don’t like to serve him anything that is taken from the refrigerator right away, we used to boil water and warm the bottle in a separate cup. This creates such a nightmare in terms of timing. Sometimes it gets too hot or too cold therefore very difficult to gauge. Hubby picked up this warmer and it has become another item we can’t survive without. I take it to restaurants, friends houses and even cars.

Plus:

+ Time Saver – Just pour water and leave it to work the magic. I don’t even stay around for it. I just wait for the light signal when it’s done.
+ Portable – As I mentioned, we take it to many places. It’s easy to find electric outlet in restaurants and retail establishments.

Another great recommendation from my brother-in-law. What a time saver and I honestly have to say that I can’t survive without it. Matthew is bottle-fed since I had to return to work right after maternity leave. Not only the bottles, my pumping gear, pacifier, eating utencil, anything we can think of sterilizing, we simply just throw them into this sterilizer. None of that microwave or plastic steam bags dealings. We will continue to use it for dinnerware and sippy cups. It’s just a great size and fits many irregular items. Yes, it is expensive but it’s worth every penny.

Plus:

+ Time Saver – Just put everything inside and pour water using the measurement cup, then a few minutes is all it takes. You can totally go do other things and not have to worry about taking things out of microwave.
+ Light Weight – At first I thought it was made of stainless steal or something but it’s not. It’s very easy to carry and we took it on a recent trip with no problem. I often take it with me to my parents house when Matthew spends time there.
+ Easy To Use – Just a few clicks then you are all set. A beeping sound tells you when things are finished being sterlized.

This was a baby shower gift from a friend. It’s great for Matthew who was able to sit in it at 4 months old. In some ways, I prefer it over the Bumbo chair. The problem with Bumbo chair is that Matthew, while sits in a well, kept wanting to come out. We had to constantly be on the watch. The high chair is great since he is completely secure in it with seat belt. We can push him around the apartment very easily.

Plus:

+ Easy Assembly – It took like 10 minutes not even. I’m not good with instructions well but this one was great.
+ Easy Clean – The plastic cover is a easy clean by simply wiping it with wet towels.
+ Removable Tray – I am very happy with this feature and am surprised that some expensive high chairs didn’t have them, like the Fisher Price’s Rain Forest one.

Minus:

- Plastic Cover – While easy to clean, my son does get very sweaty in the back of his head sitting on plastic.
